Want to Improve your Numeracy Skills?
Worried you can not support your child with their Homework?
Think Maths has changed since you were at school?
Finally want to pass your GCSE?
Then enrol on our Mathematics Course.
This is a full year course leading to a GCSE in Mathematics.
The first session will include an initial numerical assessment to check your mathematical knowledge.
During the next few sessions the content covered by participants will check that the necessary foundation mathematical 'blocks' are in place. Progress will be measured through set homework and an interim written assessment.
At the end of the course, those that wish to, can sit two external exams, one of which is a non-calculator paper.
It is essential that participants are self-motivated and have time available outside of class sessions to devote to extra studying in order to achieve grade C.
Any participant wishing to achieve a higher grade should discuss this with the tutor.
The Maths course will run for 31 weeks starting early in September 2009 running until early June 2010.
The course will probably run on Thursday evening from 6pm - 8pm except during the School Holidays.
The course cost is likely to be £150 which includes Textbook, Calculator and regular assessment of work.
Flexible payments (to spread the cost) are available.
There will be a reduction for those on benefits - please contact me to discuss this.
