Catering Assistant

Overview

We are looking for a Catering Assistant to join us as soon as possible. Working 30 hours per week, 6 hours per day term time only (38 weeks per year) from 8.45am to 2.45 p.m. Ideally you will have had experience working in a kitchen preparing food or working within a school environment, however training will be provided.

Personal attributes

As Catering Assistant, you will assist in providing catering and food services to the school, maintaining an awareness of health and food safety standards, and working as part of a team to ensure service delivery across the contract.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities:

Preparation of items on the menu as directed by the Head Chef
Serving food to students
Operation of tills and use of cashless catering
Clearing up of kitchen and dining hall

Salary & Benefits

Salary £10.50 per hour.
