Uniform Statement from Head Student

All uniform is available from Scholars in Devizes.

A brief outline of required items is below and can also be found in our uniform policy above. 

Required Items

Purchasable from Scholars and our own Lavington Second Hand Shop.

Non-branded acceptable alternatives

 

Suit Jacket (with school logo on pocket)

 

Suit Trousers

Plain navy blue trousers

Skirt 

 

Tie

 

Formal Shirt (white – long or short sleeve)

Formal/regular plain white shirt buttoned up to the neck/collar for the school tie.

Shoes (see appendix for examples of acceptable shoes)

Black (block heel of no more than 3cm, no trainers)

Socks

Plain Grey or black

Optional Items

Lavington School Jumper (pale blue)

 

Tights

Plain Black

Coat

 A brief reminder of our expectations below:

All students should wear their blazer to school every day.

Students should wear school trousers or school skirt

Students should wear a white shirt and school tie with 12 red and blue stripes showing

Hair: Extreme styles and colours are not acceptable.

Make up should be kept to a minimum/should not be excessive.

Nail varnish is permitted, but acrylic nails/nail extensions are not permitted.

Face piercings are not allowed and must not be visible in school

Ear piercings should be kept to one stud earring in each ear, but must be removed for PE.

Jewellery including necklaces, rings and bracelets are not permitted.

Watches are permitted and encouraged.

Trainers are not permitted – please see uniform policy for examples of shoes vs trainers.  Nike/Adidas Air Force Trainers are not considered shoes. Canvas style footwear are also not considered shoes.

Outdoor jackets:  please ensure you have an appropriate outdoor jacket, preferably plain.

Hoodies and sweatshirts are not permitted and can be confiscated and kept for parent’s collection.

It is very simple and easy to use and offers a great alternative to buying all your uniform new.

Please continue to donate any uniform no longer required, this is always very much appreciated.

Cost of School Uniform

The government has introduced statutory guidance to ensure the cost of school uniform is reasonable and secures the best value for money.  The school has reviewed and updated its uniform policy in line with this guidance.  The new policy can be accessed via the link above.  Please see pages 5 and 6 for a list of uniform items and the appendix for information on appropriate footwear.
