Daisy Taylor, Year 8, has gone through to the junior South West Young Chef finals. Cooking her way to the final, she prepared, cooked and served a delicious menu using local, seasonal ingredients and a fine repertoire of technical skills.

The competition took place at Wiltshire College on 16th June and was judged by Hywel Jones (Executive Chef, Lucknam Park), Rob Potter (Executive Chef, Manor House Hotel) and Steve Lloyd (Chef Lecturer, Wiltshire College).

Thanks to the exceptional standard of cooking on display, the judges were forced to deliberate extensively before selecting Daisy to represent Wiltshire at the final in October. Congratulations to all semi-finalists for a fantastic competition from a wide range of Wiltshire schools.

Daisy's winning menu was Thai style fish cakes with zesty quinoa stuffed sweet red peppers and wild garden salad. The judges, Hywel Jones, Steve Lloyd and Rob Potter commented on the 'amazing standard of work and a dream to judge.'
Daisy will join Hywel Jones from Lucknam Park for a Masterclass before going on to represent Wiltshire at the South West Young Chef Final in Exeter later in the year.
