On Wednesday 8 February, Jasmine Reader and James Bancroft, Year 10, attended the first ever Wiltshire Youth Summit hosted at Devizes School.

The team responsible for organising this event is committed to designing services for children and young people that work, their aim is to ensure that money is being invested where it is most needed and where it makes the most difference to young people’s lives.

The Youth Summit began with some ice-breakers before motivational speaker Cameron Parker addressed the delegates, getting them inspired and fired-up for workshops and engagement activities that took place through the day. A market place of exhibitors were in situ throughout the day and there was a chance at the end to quiz Wiltshire’s elected members, Assistant Chief Constable and Health Care managers … and for them to quiz young people attending.
