In 2018, Chris Wallace in Year 10, along with several others from Lavington school,

will be going on a charity expedition to Tanzania with Camps International. The current plan for this exciting four-week trip is:

  • Week 1: Charity work: this may include anything from digging wells to building schools or even teaching at rural village schools.

  • Week 2: Environmental work; protecting, preserving and raising awareness about the environment where we will be working.

  • Week 3 & 4:  Split between a safari and an expedition up Mount Meru.

Currently the pupils are busy fundraising for the expedition. Chris Wallace has already raised over £900 by running a small business called Personal Pyrography. His business sells personalised wooden gifts and you can see more details on his website:

This Spring he is selling gifts for Mothers’ Day (26th March) and birthdays and would be delighted if you would like to support his fund-raising by ordering a gift for your Mum, friends or family.
