On Thursday 30 November students in Year 7 visited the Harry Potter Studio Tour in Watford.

Our students are currently reading a variety of the Harry Potter series of books and were excited to see the sets and props used in the film adaptations.  Students were also able to enjoy a ‘Butterbeer’ and many of the sweets from the books.

As it is currently ‘Christmas at Hogwarts’, students were able to see sets such as the famous Great Hall, Gryffindor Common Room and Diagon Alley all decked out for the festive season.

Students (and staff!) were in awe of the detail and realism of these sets.  All enjoyed their (slightly scary) trek through the Forbidden Forest and their time on the Hogwarts’ Express.  The students were a credit to Lavington School and themselves, and it’s safe to say a magical day was had by all.
