A group of Lavington School students celebrating GCSE results.

At Lavington School we are delighted that our students have achieved the best results ever.

This demonstrates that we have built on our sustained high performance to achieve even greater success. 81% of all students achieved standard passes in English and maths, and 61% achieved strong passes in English and maths. 38% of all grades were grade 7 or better, which an exceptional achievement. We are very proud of all our students. They have worked really hard, supported by a dedicated and talented staff team, who always seek to exceed rather than meet expectations.

Amongst our highest performing young people were Connie Bromham, achieving 7 grade 9/A*, 3 grade 8s and 2 grade 7s, Tom Pike, 6 grade 9/A*, 3 grade 8s and 2 grade 7s and Kate Trowbridge 4 grade 9/A*, 5 grade 8s and 2 grade 7s. There are many other high performers, such as Harry McKay, Jessica Rawes, Joshua Roach and Holly Reavenall- Cashmore. Many students achieved more than they ever thought possible, gaining a terrific set of results. This sets our young people up for a bright and successful future full of opportunities, which is at the core of our vision.

These positive results have reaffirmed our decision to begin A’ level teaching at Lavington School in an exciting partnership with Devizes School. We are really pleased to welcome our first student cohort to the sixth form to build on these achievements with continuity and excellence in education for all ages.
