October is Black History month

For more than 30 years, October has been celebrated as Black History Month. The month gives us an opportunity to recognise, research and revive the stories of Black people throughout history, whose stories have historically been forgotten or ignored. The unprecedented events of this year have demonstrated the importance of togetherness and we are in a unique position to dedicate more time to learning about the experience of others!

So we invite you to join us in celebrating Black History Month for the next 31 days.

Each day, we will be posting a task to expand our knowledge of the contributions of black people to the UK over the generations, feel free to do as many or as few as you like and challenge yourself to learn something new.
